Kildare Players In All-Star Contention Tonight & Lowry 2 Off Lead in Turkey

The Hurling and Football All Stars will be presented with their awards tonight in Citywest.

The hurling All Stars were announced yesterday.  Kildare’s Kevin Feely and Daniel Flynn are among the football nominees, while Kildare hurler Paul Divilly there as a member of the Christy Ring Team of the Year.

Sunday Sportsbeat will have interviews with the three Kildare players from tonight’s awards

A big day tomorrow for county intermediate football champions Raheens and senior hurling champions Ardclough.

Ardclough play Kilkenny’s St Patrick’s Ballyragget in St Conleth’s Park in the provincial intermediate quarter final, at 2pm.

Raheens play Wexford champions Killanerin (kyle-an-eer-in) in the provincial intermediate quarter final in Gorey, also, at 2pm

We’ll hear from both managers in the Weekend preview at 6.30pm

He was alleged to owe nearly three-million-pounds from his time in charge of Real Madrid.

Mourinho appeared in court in the Spanish capital this morning.

He shot a 66 today to end the day on 5-under par, just two shots adrift of the leader, Nicolas Colsaerts.

Padraig Harrington carded a 72 to drop back to 1-over.

Colin Keane can seal his first jockeys’ championship at the penultimate meeting of the 2017 Flat season at Dundalk tonight.  

The 23-year-old Meathman is on the 97-winner mark and leads reigning champion Pat Smullen by 10. Both jockeys are involved in six races at Dundalk and could ride in all eight races at Naas on Sunday, the final day of the season.
